I really like working with artists and other creative professionals! My goal is to help you succeed in the world of business and marketing. In my career as a management consultant and corporate marketing executive I have worked with a multitude of organizations developing business and marketing plans. I now work with artists and arts organizations to help them build their brands, get noticed in a very competitive world and navigate the ins and outs of running a creative business.

I am fortunate to be a visiting professor at the Center for Innovation at Metropolitan State University of Denver where I developed and teach the course “Artrepreneurship”. I am also a visiting professor at University College at the University of Denver where I teach the graduate course “Marketing the Arts” designed for students studying arts management.

I have been a frequent presenter to numerous arts organizations including Colorado Creative Industries (formerly the Colorado Art Council), Create Denver, Creative Careers Festival to name just a few. I have also written many articles on the creative economy for ColoradoBiz Magazine as well as several articles for Americans for the Arts.

Out of my Artrepreneurship class at MSU Denver came my book, The Artist’s Business and Marketing ToolBox – How to Start, Run and Market a Successful Arts or Creative Business. The book is written for artist entrepreneurs wanting to learn about all the business things they didn’t get in art school. I also publish a blog with business tips and techniques for artists at creativesandbusiness.com.

I look forward to writing for International Sculpture Center Blog with articles and getting to know the blog community members. Your ideas, comments and article suggestions are welcome so feel free to contact me. Best Wishes!
